François is the 16th generation of a winemaking family which traces its Burgundian roots back to 1520. Sitting in the very centre of the village of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine François Carillon was established following the retirement of Louis Carillon, whose vineyards were divided between François and his brother Jacques. Fascinated from the outset by the vines and their environment, the vineyard became François’ main focus and remains paramount today.

Since his domaine’s inaugural vintage in 2010, he has proven to be not only a worthy successor to the much-loved wines of his father but is one of the most exciting producers in Puligny-Montrachet today. Renowned for the finesse and precision of their wines, François Carillon channels his energy into continually enhancing the quality of his products. Supported by a dedicated team of around twelve individuals, he is dedicated to furthering the growth of the family estate, ensuring the vineyard’s future by passing down his expertise and passion for his craft to his four children.
