Meet the Team
BROCK GUTHRIE, President + owner
Born & raised in Perth, Western Australia, Brock emigrated to Canada in 2005 where he landed in Vancouver and never left. Leaving the corporate world to pursue his passion for wine, Brock is responsible for the sourcing and overall sales.
Brock is a passionate lover of food, wine, travel and exploring new cities and cultures. A keen sportsman during downtime, he can often be found on the golf or tennis court or watching his favourite football and hockey teams.
Brock is married to his gorgeous wife Darcia and father to their two fur babies Maddie & Coco.
DARCIA BOWER, HUman-Resources
Working in the placement industry since 1991, Darcia Bower realized a goal and responded to a need when she started her company Expert Recruiters in 1999. After 18 years of success with her business, she has taken her passion for unique and vintage wines and utilized her driving business force to help launch Boutique Wines in 2015.
JEN MCALPINE, Sales – British columbia
Having worked as a sommelier, wine buyer, and cellar hand both domestically and internationally, Jen is well-versed in many facets of the wine industry. Her love for travel and wine led to her uprooting her life in Victoria and moving to Australia to work for one of the country’s top wineries, and then spent the next year exploring different wine regions across the globe. Upon returning home to BC, she moved to Vancouver to focus on her career and went on to complete the WSET Diploma in 2020. She also holds both the French & Italian Wine Scholar certifications.
In her spare time, she is happiest spending time with her husband and dog, travelling to warm destinations and/or wine regions, and is not ashamed of her love for bad reality TV shows.

Fine Wine Representative - Alberta
Having worked in the restaurant business during University years I fell in love with wine and food . I quickly realized this was my path and passion when my dancing career was a bust.
My 25 + years of experience has taken me in many directions working in restaurant management , key account roles, retail management only to go full circle back to my passion of food and wine. Always chasing knowledge presently enrolled in Wine Scholar program.
You can find me having a glass of wine dancing in the living room with my animals and occasionally my husband or travelling to beautiful wine regions and beaches. Love what you do.
