In the quiet village of Celles-sur-Ource, Étienne and Anne Sandrin farm as true neighbours of Cédric Bouchard — yet at their own unhurried pace. Since returning to the family vines in 2006, they have refused expansion. They keep only the heart of each plot for themselves, selling the rest to fellow biodynamic growers. Scale is never the goal; integrity is.
Their vineyard work is patient and precise. Fully Demeter-certified, they observe every parcel closely, intervening only at the exact right moment. Homemade plant teas and decoctions from their own gardens support the vines, while soil health and natural balance take priority over any forced yield. This quiet, almost old-fashioned attention is their daily romance.
One of the few Champagne estates still giving meaningful space to Pinot Blanc alongside Pinot Noir, they craft wines of crystalline purity and gentle energy — transparent expressions of the land, never the ego.
