Francois Labet

François Labet is a renowned Burgundian winemaker and manages his family estate, Domaine Pierre Labet. he is also the largest acting landowner in Clos de Vougeot through Château de la Tour.

The Labet family has lived in Beaune for 300 years and has been making wine under their label since the 1980s. Francois Labet grew up in the family home, Bastion Notre Dame, in the center of Beaune. The bastion was built in 1637, during the Thirty Years War, and has been the family home since 1800. The domaine was named for Emile's son Pierre, and Francois honors his father by maintaining the name.

A pioneer in organic, natural-yeast viticulture since the 1990s, he focuses on high-quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, embodying traditional terroir-driven wine.
