Luis Pato

Baga Espumante

Subtle pink sparkler from baga grapes which are picked a bit earlier than the baga used in his reds. Mr. Pato likes to remind his customers of his vineyards' cooler Atlantic climate and clay/limestone soils, two features which certainly distinguish this and his other wines from the pack.

Baga Touriga

Black fruit and bitter chocolate, good acidity and live and fine tannins, for this cut of two characteristic grapes (one from Bairrada, another from Dão) where the rustic baga is complemented by the elegance of the Touriga Nacional. Slight smoky notes due to the brief passage in used wood and light alcohol completes the picture of this typical and very interesting red.

Vinhas Velhas Branco

This wine is a lot of Bical (50%) on chalky-clay soil, Cerceal (25%) and Sercialinho (25%) on sandy soil.

Complex and full of personality, this is one of the most respected whites in Portugal, elaborated with the Cerceal de Bairrada, Sercealinho and Bical strains, all of them old vines planted on slopes of sandy soil. Elegant with excellent acidity and perfect balance between fruit and wood.
